The district took care of 16,058 K-12 students during the 2014-2015 school year, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. According to the Office of Superintendents of Public Instructions, the district recorded a 5.3 per cent increase in enrolments between 2008 and 2012. He has held this position since July 1, 2015. Prior to his appointment, Irion served for 18 years as an assistant superintendent in the district. Prior to that, he worked as assistant superintendent, principal, assistant principal and teacher. He got his Ed.D. University of Washington, his M.S. in teaching at Portland State University and his B.A. in Education and Mathematics from De Luther University.

[3] The National Office of Superintendents of Public Instructions issued a state report for the 2011-2012 program, which assessed each district`s annual competencies and progress. This report card uses Student Advancement Measures (PSM) and Proficiency High School (HSPE) data to determine whether each district meets the annual annual progress goals (AYP) in reading and mathematics. The objective of each district was to achieve by the 2013/2014 school year the competency goals at all levels of the class and the demographic evolution of nk and students.
